Looking back at the OS ConJunction Students and Alumni Day 2018: “The Value of Organizing and the Organization of Value(s)”

 

Last Friday, the 3rd OS ConJunction Students and Alumni Day took place at the Haus der Begegnung in Innsbruck. As the title already gives away, this year’s event was all about values.

After a theoretical introduction by Richard Weiskopf, where he gave an overview on “The Value of Values in Organizing”, the panel discussion related theory to organizational praxis.

In a vivid discussion, the panelists Stephan Laske (Transformation Management AG), Tabea Ebel (Lebenshilfe Tirol), Ursula Randolf (BTV) and Konrad Frank (Accenture) shared interesting insights on the role of values in their respective organizations. Workshop on “Approaches to Ethical Challenges in Business and Economics”

screenshot-workshop-aianiOn March 1, 2017 a one day workshop on “Approaches to Ethical Challenges in Business and Economics: Religious and Cultural Contributions” organized by University of Innsbruck in cooperation with the Austrian Israeli Academic Network (AIANI) takes place Claudiana, (Herzog-Friedrich-Straße 3, 2nd floor). Among the speakers are Rabbi Barry Leff (The Neshamah Center) and Richard Weiskopf (University of Innsbruck).

The workshop is free of charge and a couple of places are still available for readers of this blog. If someone from the OS conjunction community is interested and flexible enough to join at the last minute, please send an e-mail to Andreas.Exenberger [at] uibk.ac.at.

Am Mittwoch, 16. November 2016, 17:00 Uhr, findet im Kaiser-Leopold-Saal der Katholisch-Theologischen Fakultät Karl-Rahner-Platz 3, A-6020 Innsbruck die Antrittsvorlesung von Richard Weiskopf zum Thema “Wieviel ‚Wahrheit’ verträgt die Organisation? Die Praktik der parrhesia als Herausforderung für moderne Organisation.

Antrittsvorlesungen richten sich an ein breites Publikum und wir würden uns freuen, bekannte Gesichter aus der Organization Studies Innsbruck Community dort zu sehen.
