From February 22-23, we – Laura Dobusch (JKU Linz), Dide Van Eck (Utrecht School of Governance), Katharina Kreissl (JKU Linz), and I – are excited to host a hybrid workshop on “Resisting Business-As-Usual” at the JKU Linz, sponsored by Gender, Work & Organization. Panel beim Journalismusfest Innsbruck: “Blogs, Wikis & Co – Zwischen journalistischer Prekarität und Glaubwürdigkeit”

Von 13. bis 15. Mai 2022 findet das Journalismusfest Innsbruck statt und ich freue mich außerordentlich, ein Panel gemeinsam mit Markus Beckedahl, Gründer und langjähriger Chefredakteur des Blogs netzpolitik.org, sowie Claudia Garád, Geschäftsführerin von Wikimedia Österreich, moderieren zu dürfen. Aus der Ankündigung:

Blogs, Wikis oder Videoportale wie YouTube oder TikTok übernehmen mittlerweile journalistische Funktionen und definieren diese teils neu. Der Blog netzpolitik.org etwa publiziert immer wieder tiefergehende Recherchen. Wikipedia bringt auch zu strittigen Themen aktuelle und oft quellenkritisch geprüfte Informationen. Trotzdem bleibt der journalistische Charakter von Blogs, Wikis und Co. prekär. Gleichzeitig zögern traditionelle journalistische Angebote bei der Übernahme von Praktiken wie etwa der Veröffentlichung oder Verlinkung von Quellen.

Das Panel steigt am Freitag, 14. Mai, um 17 Uhr im Haus der Musik. Schaut vorbei!
